Burnout Paradise Puts You On The Road Where You Belong

Burnout Paradise

Ah, the open road. Driving with the top down, the warm sun in your face, the ocean breeze in your hair. The freedom to go where you please when you want it. The rush of a tight corner and the thrill of a close race. All things that you don’t experience ever living in New York City and not even owning a car, let alone some hot convertible race car. But hey, you can’t have it all, can you? Well, that depends on how easy you are to please.

If you don’t mind getting your experiences in video game form, you could fill that gaping void in your life with Burnout Paradise, the latest slick racing game for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It features a full-sized city for you to explore in the car of your choice, letting you cruise from downtown to the beach to the hills. You can choose to race people, work on stunts, go for your best time in time trials, or just cruise around at your leisure. It’s all the freedom you don’t get sitting in the backs of cabs and in subways here in NYC. It’s almost as good as the real thing, right? Right?
